The White House recently announced the 2016 National Week of Making (June 17-23). Inspired by the event, our FRCH Maker’s Faire showcased the work of many of our talented and skilled colleagues.
Paintings, woodworking, sewing and knitting, prop building, food and music made up the diverse exhibits in and around our 6th floor lobby.
Our work and our culture are based on creativity, and seeing the personal projects of our co-workers gives us a broader insight into their method and way of creating.
President Obama said, “During National Week of Making, we celebrate the tinkerers and dreamers whose talent and drive have brought new ideas to life, and we recommit to cultivating the next generation of problem solvers.” Maker’s Faires are popping up all over the world, so we hope our event will help showcase our efforts and inspire new ‘makers’ everywhere!
